Meitu Enhances RoboNeo With ‘Agent Teams’ to Streamline AI Content Creation

Hong Kong-listed tech firm entity[“company”,”Meitu”,”Chinese technology company”] has unveiled a major upgrade to its AI-powered imaging agent, RoboNeo, introducing a new “Agent Teams” framework aimed at transforming how visual content is created.

Announced on April 29, the update shifts RoboNeo from a single-task AI tool to a multi-agent orchestration system. The platform now deploys specialized AI roles—such as Director, Scriptwriter, and Visual Editor—that collaborate in real time to deliver end-to-end creative workflows. This approach is designed to address common pain points faced by creators, including fragmented processes, frequent tool switching, high production costs, and lack of content differentiation.

With the new system, users can simply describe their ideas in natural language, while RoboNeo’s coordinated agents handle everything from concept development to final output. The platform, accessible via PC, aims to simplify content creation for individuals, small teams, and businesses by automating complex production tasks.

Meitu said RoboNeo demonstrates strong capabilities across three primary use cases. In AI-generated short dramas, the system can manage the full pipeline—from character design to completed video. For social media content, it produces assets such as covers, scripts, and animated introductions. In e-commerce, RoboNeo can recreate product videos in under five minutes, significantly reducing production time.

The upgrade also integrates Seedance 2.0, enhancing RoboNeo’s video generation capabilities. This includes features such as continuous shot creation, synchronized audio-visual output, and improved consistency across visual assets. Additionally, the platform introduces reusable “Skills,” allowing users to convert common workflows—such as product showcases—into one-click processes.

A built-in memory function further strengthens the system by retaining user preferences and brand assets across projects, enabling more personalized and consistent outputs over time.

By automating repetitive tasks and streamlining the creative pipeline, Meitu aims to lower the barrier to professional-grade content production, allowing creators to focus more on ideation and storytelling.
